The Andromeda Galaxy, our neighbor galaxy, will one day; be a part of us. The Andromeda Galaxy has over 1 trillion starsand is a spiral galaxy! Andromeda Galaxy has a radius of 110,000 Light Years, which means, if ye went light speed through the Andromeda Galaxy, it would take ye 110,000 Earth Years from Start to End. It takes 2.537 Million Light Years to get from Earth to The Andromeda Galaxy. Discovered in 964 in Persia, Astronomer Abd al-Rahman al-Sufi describe it as a Nebulous Smear; which is why is was once known as The Andromeda Nebula. Other names for The Andromeda Galaxy are Messier 31, M31 & NGC 224. Not only is The Andromeda Galaxy our neighbor galaxy, it is also the nearest galaxy to our own.
