Dia, also known as Jupiter LIII, J LIII, S/2000 J 11, is a moon orbiting Jupiter. Dia has a mean diameter of 4 Kilometers. Dia has an orbital period of 287 Earth Days. Dia is a part of the Himalia Group. Profile of Dia Dia was discovered on December 5th, 2000, by American Astronomer Scott Sander Sheppard, British-American Astronomer David Clifford Jewitt, Canadian-American Astronomer Yanga Roland Fernandez and Eugene A. Magnier. It received it's name, Dia, on March 7th, 2015. Dia is a prograde irregular satellite. Dia received its name from Dia from The Classical World's daughter of Deioneus who is the wife of Ixion, The King of The Lapiths.
