Introduction
The Moon, the largest object(perspective-wise) in our night sky as long as we can remember. It's so close that we can see the details of its surface with the naked eye. Naturally, being the curious creatures we are, we always wanted to go to the moon. And as of 1969, we have been to The Moon. But, before we made it to the moon, we first began, The Space Race.
Space Race
The Space Race was race to be the greatest Super Power in Space between America and The USSR starting in 1955. The Space Race was born out of the cold war between these two nations. After WWII, the battle between The ideologies of Capitalism and Socialism/Communism was in full swing. The Space Race was just one more aspect of a bigger war. The Space Race would establish which World Super Power would claim Space Supremacy. In 1958, America formed The National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA) to defeat the Soviets in The Space Race. In 1961, the chips seemed down for America, for something remarkable happen for the first time in history, man had reached Space. The First Man in Space was The Soviet Cosmonaut Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin. This was a huge blow to The United States of America and it seemed that Communism would have won the Space Race. However, In 1969, the winner of The Space Race would be decided.
Apollo Missions
On July 20th, 1969, America would Launch the space mission Apollo 11 to put the man on the moon. America, and Capitalism, had won The Space Race. The Three Astronauts on Apollo 11 were Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins and Neil Armstrong. The First Man to step on The Moon was Neil Armstrong. Neil Armstrong is quoted saying "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". What was once, impossible, began reality, man had stepped on The Moon.
Conclusion
The Apollo 11 Mission shows us that even the impossible can be done. There are those who still believe The Moon Landing was fake and that just shows how impossible it may seem to have occurred. Yet, we did it; We've been to the Moon. This goes to show that we will indeed, Advance to The Stars and beyond!

I am reserved about how much is true, here are my reservations:

1. The radiation that would be exposed to humans and delicate instruments by leaving our atmosphere would be catastrophic.

2. The moon has a gravity of 1/6th of earths hence,it would take the thrust of a rocket 1/6th that of what it took to leave the earth.

3. Communications would have had a delayed relay time traveling 250,000 miles to and reply back 250,000 miles.

4. The soil kicked up by moonwalks does not appear effected by the difference in gravity as the motion of the astronauts does.

5. No stars are visible even with equipment that is able to discern light frequency's beyond human eyesight and is able to filter out glare.

6. The Earth is not the correct size in the moon images.

7. The fact that the sun is actually white would have been disclosed at that time.

8.The fact that there has not been a manned landing since.

9. The fact NASA is accepting designs for technology to use such as toilets in future moon flights when that functional technology should already exist from previous flights across the board.

It would be safe to assume that a force strong enough to keep an entire planet locked in a fixed non rotational orbit would be stronger than artificial means of escaping either one without more sophisticated technology but the rivoted rockets seem to stay together for the most part.
And why is there no pictures of the moon from i.s.s.?

The moon shots if nothing else were a distraction from a very dangerous time in mankinds recent history, where we we were on the brink of a very ugly ending to our species.

NASA, I do humbly thank you for that.
