Introduction
Pan, also known as Saturn XVIII and S/1981 S 13, is the innermost moon of Saturn. Pan has a mass of 4.95 X 10^15 kilograms, a mean radius of 14.1 kilometers, a mean density of 0.42 grams per centimeter cubed, and an average temperature of around 78 Kelvin. Pan has a surface gravity of 0.0001 to 0.0018 meters per second squared and an escape velocity of 0.0006 kilometers per second. Pan has an orbital period of 0.575050718 Earth Days or 13.801217 Earth Hours. Profile of Pan Pan was discovered on July 16th, 1990 by Scientist Mark Robert Showalter. Pan is walnut shaped due a ring of rocks that formed on the equatorial ridge on Pan. Pan was named after The Classical World god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, nature of mountain wilds, rustic music & Impromptus, Pan. Pan is known for having the hindquarters, legs and horns of a goats and the rest of the body and face as a man.
